2 Courses 2 A Career in Real Estate
In accordance with the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission regulations, in order to qualify for a salesperson's license an applicant must be at least 18 years of age and to have completed 60 hours in real estate instruction. (30 hours of Real Estate Fundamentals and 30 hours of Real Estate Practice).

Schedule: 10 classes – 3 hours each = 30 hours
Weeknights: Tuesdays & Thursdays 6-9pm

Elective Residential Focus Course
This class gives continuing education credit to those licensed before 12/01/09. Anyone licensed between 12/01/09 and 11/30/11 must complete the Mandatory New Licensee Courses to renew by 5/31/12. It is the responsibility of the individual licensee to meet the continuing education requirements and to know if they must take the commission-developed courses.
Lehigh Valley Real Estate Academy is partnering with Career WebSchool to offer online courses.
Some classes have previously been taught on-location at LVAR headquarters through the PA Association of REALTORS® (PAR), however, the new Academy will offer a wider range of courses including those with content targeted to the interests of REALTORS® in the Lehigh Valley area. Instructors accredited by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) have been hired to teach the classes.
State Outlines NEW Appraisal Trainee Requirements
The State Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers will be sending letters to all appraisers and appraisal assistants informing them of the change in regulations. Applicants will be required to complete 75 hours of coursework in specific topics including the 15-hour Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course, before applying to the board to become a licensed trainee.The approved regulations will be published on the PA Bulletin on July 17.
