Coleen Baumer, Business Development Officer for PHFA

Coleen Baumert serves as the Business Development Officer for Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA). She travels the state training and working with lenders, brokers, REALTORS® and potential homebuyers as well as teaching continuing education classes for REALTORS®. In addition to attending marketing events, Coleen processes lender applications for new participants to enable them to offer PHFA loans. She also coordinates monthly and regional trainings/webinars for new and existing partners.

Coleen began working with PHFA in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management and International Business with a Minor in International Studies from Penn State University in the Fall of 2003.

In 1975 he obtained his PA Real Estate Sales Person license, rapidly that was upgraded to a PA Real Estate Broker’s license, then on to a PA Appraiser’s license and PA Real Estate Instructor’s license that was quickly added.

As a Broker of Record for various Companies over the years, he has gained an in-depth background in General Real Estate, Recreational Real Estate, New Construction, Subdivision and Development, and currently he is active in the Commercial Arena for NRC Realty & Capital Advisors.

His activity has earned him awards from the National Builders Association, Penn State University, and most recently the Excellence in Teaching Award from Northampton Community College.

Joseph has held membership in the National Association of Realtors since 1975 and has earned the SRES Designation. At the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors he has sat on the Professional Standards and has been an Instructor for the New Member Orientation program. For the Academy he teaches Pre-License Courses, Broker Courses, and Mandatory Continuing Education Courses.

M. Dona Palmer, Business Development Manager for PHFA

Dona Palmer first joined the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency in 1979. She was named Manager of Business Development for Homeownership Programs in October, 2005. In this capacity she oversees the marketing and training functions of the Agency’s single-family loan production. This encompasses several homeownership programs including home purchase, closing cost and downpayment assistance, access modification, and employer assisted housing programs. PHFA purchases approximately 7,000 loans per year from over 100 participating lending institutions.

During her tenure with the Agency, Dona has served in many of the Agency’s Divisions: Homeowners Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (HEMAP); the rental housing Multifamily Division, and the Finance Division. Dona left PHFA for thirteen years to operating a small, nationally recognized sales business and also has experience as a nationwide trainer for Fred Prior and Career Track Seminars.

Dona has developed continuing education curricula and serves as a continuing education instructor for the Mortgage Bankers Association of Pennsylvania; Pennsylvania Association of Mortgage Brokers; Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS^®; and the Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS^®. She is licensed by the PA Department of Banking and the National Mortgage License System as a Mortgage Originator. In her role as Business Development Manager, she regularly meets with and markets PHFA’s Homeownership Programs to lenders, Realtors®, builders, community groups as well as represents the Agency at legislative events.

STEFANIE HAHN is the Education Director for Coldwell Banker Hearthside, REALTORS® in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Having spent a good portion of her early career in technology & internet services, Stefanie stayed at the forefront of Internet technology when she moved into real estate in 2002.

Her role involves helping new recruits integrate seamlessly into the brand and working with agents of all skill levels to leverage the power of social media and new technologies; combining traditional hands-on and more sophisticated online teaching methods.

When not in the classroom for Hearthside, Stefanie has written and taught classes for Coldwell Banker, REALTORS® Triple Play as well as for several local REALTOR® Associations. She is a co-founder of the Pennsylvania Young Professionals Network and is a national blogger for the NAR YPN Lounge. In addition, Stefanie serves on the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® board and was recently appointed to the Communications Committee of the National Association of REALTORS® for 2012.

Mr. Joseph Marovich, with a MA in Theology, spent 10 years teaching high school religious studies prior to entering the real estate business. A licensed REALTOR® in New Jersey since 1972, he has worked as a sales agent, a Broker/owner of Marovich Realty, and after selling his business, as a Vice-President and Regional Manager and Director of Training for Murphy Realty/Better Homes and Gardens for 13 years. After Murphy sold to Coldwell Banker, Joe was a full-time trainer for Coldwell Banker University. In 2002 he began Marovich Business Institute from which he trains and conducts NAR designation classes & customized workshops for NJ & other states, for Boards/Associations and real estate companies. He is a licensed instructor for the states of NJ and NY, and CE instructor for NY and PA., and an expert witness in NJ real estate cases.

Mr. Marovich was REALTOR® of the year for the Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS®, and served as a Director and chaired the Membership Committee, Professional Standards Committee, and REALTOR® Risk Reduction Committees. He is a certified NAR Instructor for REALTOR® Risk Reduction topics and teaches courses at the NAR and other state conventions. For the NJ Assoc. of REALTORS® he chaired and is a member of the REALTOR® Risk Management Committee/License Law Committee and the Legal Affairs Committee. He taught the principles of Buyer Agency to the NJ Real Estate Commission’s pre-licensing instructors for continuing education. Melanie McLane is a practicing appraiser, broker and educator. With over 34 years in the business, she has vast experience in all aspects of real estate.
